Hélène RUIZ FABRI
Prof. Hélène Ruiz Fabri has degrees in law and political science from the University of Bordeaux (D.E.A.) and the Institut d’Etudes politiques de Bordeaux. She has a Doctorate in Law (1989 – Sur quelques éléments de la théorie de la coutume en droit international contemporain), an Habilitation à diriger des recherches (1989) and is Agrégée des Facultés de droit (1990). She is currently Professor of International Law at the University of Paris I - Panthéon Sorbonne and Director of the Institute of Comparative Studies of Paris (UMR de droit comparé - Paris I/CNRS) and of the Master 2 Program in International Economic Law. She teaches and researches International Law, WTO Law, International Dispute Settlement, ECHR Law and has numerous publications in these fields, especially the WTO Dispute Settlement and Comparative International Dispute Settlement Law. She has taught at the Academy of International Law (The Hague) and at the Academy of European Law (Florence). She also has experience at the Council of Europe (as a legal consultant on the ratification and the implementation of the European Convention on Human Rights in Eastern European countries), as well as in the French government and at the Agence internationale de la Francophonie (as a legal consultant on cultural diversity).
