Geir Ulfstein
Director of the Norwegian Centre for Human Rights
2004-2007. Visiting scholar at the
University of Washington, University of Cambridge, Max Planck Institute for
Comparative Public and International Law (Heidelberg), and
University of Paris I – Panthéon Sorbonne. Publications in various fields of international
law, including the law of the sea, international environmental law, human
rights, and international institutional law. Co-edited Making Treaties Work: Human Rights, Environment and Arms Control
(CUP 2007) and co-authored (with Jan Klabbers and Anne Peters) The Constitutionalization of International
Law (OUP 2009). Co-director of a research project on “Should States
Ratify Human Rights Conventions?” at the Norwegian Centre for Advanced Study
(CAS) (2009-2010). The outcome will be published in a new book series: Studies on Human Rights Conventions
(CUP).
